Is bakuchiol the same as retinol?

No. Bakuchiol is a plant molecule used as an alternative to retinol in cosmetic formulas. It is generally better tolerated, with less flaking and redness, but it is still an active ingredient. Introduce it every second evening and build up to nightly over two or three weeks.

Can I use it in the morning?

The brand recommends evening only, and that is the sensible route. Your morning is better served by the Hydrating or Collagen Boosting Formula under sun protection. Keep this one for the end of the day, after cleansing and toning, when nothing else is competing with it.
