How to use

Use once or twice a week, in the evening, on cleansed skin.
Apply Enzymatic Exfoliant Step 1 first. Step 2 does nothing on its own.
Apply Step 2 over it and massage gently in circles. A foam forms.
Leave it three to five minutes, then massage again with wet fingers and rinse.
Avoid the eye area. If any gets in, rinse thoroughly with water.

Questions

Can I use Step 2 on its own?

No. Step 2 is an activator with nothing to activate on its own. Its whole function is to release the protected enzymes held in Enzymatic Exfoliant Step 1. Buy and use the two together, Step 1 applied first and Step 2 layered directly over it.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, and that is the point of the design. Aquafolia states it suits all skin types including very sensitive and blemish-prone skin. There are no grains, no acids and no mechanical action, so the exfoliation does not create the micro-lesions a scrub leaves behind.

How often should I exfoliate?

Once or twice a week is what Aquafolia sets. Over-exfoliating is one of the most common reasons a good routine stops working, especially after fifty when the barrier is already thinner. If your skin feels tight the next day, drop back to once a week.

What is the foam I see?

That is the effervescent reaction, and it means the system is working. Step 2 releases the enzymes held in Step 1, and a light foam forms as it does. Leave it three to five minutes, massage again with wet fingers, then rinse it away completely.
